Not exactly a flower box, but…

creative way to recycle a monitorimage borrowed from: http://digitalliving.cnet.co.uk/

(A couple samples sent to us.)
One of our vendors uses the parts from recycled CRT computer monitors to manufacture televisions.  It’s nice to see the end result sometimes.  Although not as pretty as a flower planter, we think true beauty lies in the eye of the recycler.  Aaaah, pretty.

Last seen west of the continental divide…

Geesh!  This guy is still around?  Probably still wearing those silly sweatpants.  I’m gonna buy him some khakis.

We do, however, still love the message.  Never throw away anything that can be recycled.  Please continue to recycle your cell phones, PDAs, ink & toner cartridges, iPods, DVD’s, digital cameras, video games & consoles and laptops.

Oh, and Captain Recycle is not really 8′11″ tall (as posted on his myspace page).  I know, I’ve met him.

Where’s that cell phone been…?

Cell Phone & TP

A ‘Let’s Talk’ (retail company) survey said that 38% of people thought it was OK to use a cell phone in the bathroom.

On a similar note:  if the lights go out while in the bathroom… A Sprint survey said that 2/3 people used their cell phone backlight to find something in the dark.

Yet another note:  855,000 cell phones in the UK end up in the toilet each year.  So be careful!

We’re hoping by now that you know, or course, that we recycle cell phones.  Only about 2.3% of Americans recycle their old cell phones.  And most have 3 or more expired cell phones probably in a drawer somewhere.  Time to give it up.  It’s worth money to your school or organization.
