It’s no secret that Halloween beats out all other holidays for its candy sales…but did you ever wonder how much Americans actually spend on candy? According to the Economics of Halloween, Americans will spend $1.9 Billion on Halloween candy.
The average American will consume 1.235 lbs of candy on Halloween alone.
Think you know what the top selling Halloween candy is? You guessed it! The beloved candy corn! Its America’s preferred candy this time of year.
Can you guess everyone’s least favorite? Its those mystery peanut butter taffies… you all know which ones I’m talking about! 
This year 93% of America’s children will be out trick-or-treating. A less shocking fact might be that 90% of those children’s parents, will be sneaking candy out of their kids stash!
So there’s the facts, now we’ll just have to wait patiently….
